Abilities: Katie possesses the ability to disintegrate matter and convert that energy into offense forms. She can also absorb other forms of energy. As she continues to absorb energy and "power up" she begins to glow. While the energy release originally took the form of spheres from her midsection, these days she prefers to direct the energy through her hands, though she can also expel it from her eyes.

Katie possesses a limit healing factor that largely only works with her siblings.

Katie is a scientific prodigy, with her doctorate in theoretical physics.

Katie occasionally has access to the Smartship, Friday.

Weaknesses and Flaws: Katie is otherwise quite mortal and vulnerable. She's also been out of the heroing game for a great many years.

Personality: Katie retains something of her childlike sense of wonder, though it is now directed towards the mysteries of the universe. She is a kind, outgoing individual, who tends to get lost in her work with nothing else to distract her.

Katie later progressed quickly through school, graduating early and eventually receiving her doctorate. She was almost immediately snapped up by the Future Foundation, where she heads up the Experimental Energy Research Division. In the time since, she's begun dating Franklin again, reconnecting with her childhood friend.

Ah, glorious Saturdays.  A day of freedom from classes and even from part-time jobs on this particular Saturday.  Katie had slept in, though her parents had gone out of town.  She was still living at home, in order to save money while going to ESU, but they'd said that Jack might stop by later in the day.

Her clock said that it was nearly noon, and so she forced herself out of bed.  Dressing quickly, she walked out into the rest of the apartment to see what she might do about lunch.
